Questa settimana in Grails (2012-03)

Sono rimaste poche settimane per inviare i vostri proposal per le conferenze GR8Conf EU e GR8Conf US. La pagina dedicata alla conferenza EU è questa e quella relativa alla conferenza US è questa; per entrambe le conferenze, la deadline per l’invio è il 15 febbraio.

Un sacco di novità sul fronte Spring Security questa settimana. Per correggere un problema nella creazione del war di spring-security-core presente nella versione 1.2.7, ho rilasciato la versione 1.2.7.1. C’è un nuovo plugin per integrare un Shibboleth native SP e uno per la mock authentication. Inoltre, Carsten Block ha scritto un post dal titolo restricting concurrent user sessions (che vi consiglio di leggere unitamente a questo post aggiornato).

Dai un’occhiata al riassunto di Tsuyoshi Yamamoto a proposito della conferenza Groovy & Grails eXchange 2011 tenutasi a Londra. Troverai molte foto, compresa una dei 3 sviluppatori del plugin Acegi – per la prima volta nello stesso posto contemporaneamente.

Ho rilasciato un nuovo plugin questa settimana per il supporto al deploy delle applicazioni su JBoss. Ogni versione di JBoss richiede che siano eseguite diverse operazioni per completare il deploy di un’app, così ho pensato che sarebbe meglio incapsulare il tutto in un plugin che faccia queste cose in autonomia. Funziona con le versioni 5 e 6, non supporta ancora la versione 7 dal momento che non la stessa non fornisce ancora il supporto per Grails (per via di una serie di bug che dovrebbe essere corretti per la versione 7.2).

  • marshallers version 0.1.1. Easy registration and usage of custom XML and JSON marshallers supporting hierarchical configurations
  • pusher version 0.2. Wrapper for pusher.com REST api
  • simpledb version 0.3. Integrates the AWS SimpleDB datastore into Grails, providing a GORM API onto it
