Gr8Conf Europe ha annunciato questa settimana un nuovo look per il loro sito
(basato su Weceem) e l’apertura delle Call for Papers. Se vuoi presentare un talk a Copenhagen ricorda di inviare le tue proposals entro la deadline del 15 febbraio. Il portale dedicato ai plugin di Grails è stato migliorato: le pagine di dettaglio dei plugin ora mostrano la sintassi per includere correttamente il plugin nel file BuildConfig.groovy come alternativa al più classico comando install-plugin. Per esempio, il valore del plugin spring-security-core è compile ":spring-security-core:1.2.7". Inoltre i plugin indicano esplicitamente se utilizzano dei repository per ulteriori jar e quali sono, vedi per esempio spring-mobile.
Un altro dato interessante visualizzato è la percentuale di utilizzo di un certo plugin (al momento il valore è limitato, perciò i numeri ad oggi non sono totalmente affidabili). Ad esempio, il plugin spring-security-core mostra la dicitura “Used by approximately 35% of Grails users”.
Peter ha dato il via ad un progetto per centralizzare le guide HOWTO per Grails , sperando che questo archivio diventi molto esteso, con elementi creati sia dal team di sviluppo di Grails che dalla comunità.
Bobby Warner propone questa settimana due screencasts, entrmabi su CoffeeScript: Getting Groovy with CoffeeScript e Another Adventure with Grails and CoffeeScript.
